WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO?

The Vintage Athletic Booster Club has a strong history of maintaining a sustainable booster support base over the years. Long standing fundraisers such as the Crab Feed and Golf Tournament as well as new fundraisers such as the Car Raffle have all contributed to our success.

Main sources of income: Concessions, Car Raffle, Membership Sales, Crab Feed, Media Guide and Banner Sponsorships

How are the dollars distributed?

1) Teams Establish an Annual Budget every May. Teams receive funds for equipment, facility upgrades, tournament expenses, uniforms, coaches’ cloth, clinics/meetings, Assistant Coaches stipends and substitute teachers for coaches who are teachers and miss class.
2) Budgets vary year to year based on uniform or equipment purchase needs.
3) Additional Funds: If we exceed our budget goal, we ask that teams submit a proposal for additional funds that the at large membership votes to approve at monthly meetings. For instance, in May of 2019, the VABC awarded $52,000 in additional funds to multiple teams. The plan is to repeat this additional awarding every year!
4) Gate Collection, where does that money go? If you are not a member and pay to see games, those funds go to pay league/section/state dues and pay for our referees across all sports (VERY EXPENSIVE). Our Athletic Department handles all gate collection and distribution of funds.
5) Our goal as a club is to work together in our fundraising efforts as a WHOLE. Although some teams have small individual fundraising needs, it is key that we work collaboratively as a unit.
6) Distribution of team budgets are established by the coach, our athletic director and the club membership.
